Jakarta, 23/08/2016 MoF – Starting September, all tax offices are open for Tax Amnesty service. According to Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Head Office of Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) and 33 Regional Offices of DJP will serve taxpayers (WP) inter-regions or national. In addition, there are also 207 Tax Offices (Tax Offices for Tax Consultation – KP2KP), which become the points of service.
“At first, we only serve Tax Amnesty in 341 Tax Offices. Now, we provide the service in the entire offices of DJP, 33 Regional Offices and we add 207 KP2KP. Plus, we provide the service in several banks, such as Mandiri, BRI dan BNI. They have a counter serving Tax Amnesty,” explains Minister of Finance in the press conference taken place at the Djuanda Hall of Ministry of Finance, Jakarta on Monday (22/08).
Besides that, as a part of expanding the coverage of socialization and Tax Amnesty service abroad, the government opens 2 points of service in the Indonesian Embassy for Singapore, Indonesian Consulate General for Hong Kong, and Indonesian Embassy for United Kingdom. According to Minister of Finance, these efforts aim to address the obstacles faced by WP in participating Tax Amnesty. One of the obstacles is that taxpayers can only propose Tax Amnesty in the Tax Office, where they are registered. (as)
