On 19 September 2018, the MoF issued Regulation No. 119/PMK.010/2018 (“PMK-119”) concerning the imposition of Safeguard Duty on the Import of Ceramic Tile Products. The safeguard duty is imposed on import of Ceramic Tile Products from all countries, except from the countries listed in the attachment to PMK-119 (there are 125 countries listed in PMK-119). PMK-119 shall be effective for 3 years from the effective date. The effective date of PMK-119 is 21 days from the date it was enacted (enacted on 21 September 2018).

The percentage of safeguard duty on ceramic tile products is as follows:

1. First year, with a period of one year after the effective date of this MoF Regulation is 23%;
2. Second year, with a period of one year after the first year ends is 21% ; and
3. Third year, with a period of one year after the second year ends is 19%.
